For the 5th year in a row, we are playing at the Hoxeyville Music Festival in the northern forests of Michigan. This year is looking like it will be the best festival yet. This years artists include: The Rhythm Devils, The New Deal, Keller Williams, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Steve Kimock & Crazy Engine, Cornmeal and also some of the best local talent including: Greensky Bluegrass, The Ragbirds, Four Finger Five, Seth & May and many many more. First Trip to the East Coast

This week, we start our first trip out to the east coast which includes a few stops in Pennsylvania this weekend. One of the shows is in Erie at The Docksider and Saturday night we are playing in State College at Zeno’s on the way out. Then, next Monday we head to Brooklyn, where we will be playing at The Brooklyn Bowl. Next Wednesday, we are playing just outside Boston at Johnny D’s in Somerville with Midnight Spaghetti. From there, we start a festival run back to Michigan. We are playing at the Big Up Festival in Ghent, NY on Thursday. The Rootwire Festival in Logan, OH on Friday. Ypsilanti’s Jamboree Festival next Saturday. And we are wrapping up the tour at one of our favorite summer shows, an early afternoon, outdoor show on the water at The Red Dock in Saugatuck, MI. UM After Parties

The weekend of July 16th and 17th, we will be playing two Umphrey’s McGee after parties in the cities of Grand Rapids and Indianapolis. On Friday the 16th, we will be playing at Billy’s Lounge in Grand Rapids, MI. Billy’s right down the road from Frederick Meijer Gardens and we will be sharing the stage with Roots of Creation. The following day, we are playing a free show just outside Indy at Booney’s in Avon after UM finishes.

Glory of the West

This Thursday, we start our trip out west towards Montana. We have a handful of shows routing us out there including the Bells Beer Garden Opener in Kalamazoo, MI on Thursday with Papadosio. Friday we head down towards Terre Haute, IN where we will be rocking out The Verve. Saturday we are in Ames, IA at DJ’s Taphouse and Sunday we are playing an early show at Parlor City Pub in Cedar Rapids, IA. From there, we will heading out to Montana where we will be playing the cities of Missoula, Bozeman and Butte. Saturday, the 12th, we are very excited to be playing the LYME Festival in Clinton where we will be wrapping up our run in Montana. On the way home we will be stopping for a couple of shows up in Marquette, MI at the Upfront & Company. Check out our gigs page for dates and full details of the tour

Over the next month we will be playing a handful of shows with some of our favorite bands around the midwest. It starts next Friday, May 7th in Muncie, IN, where we will be playing with Catch Curtis at Doc’s Music Hall. The following week we will be at The Riviera Theater in Three Rivers, MI with Covert Operations on Saturday, May 15th. Friday, May 21st, we are bringing The Ragbirds to Grand Rapids for a show at The Intersection. Then on June 3rd, we are opening up Bells Beer Garden in Kalamazoo with Papadosio. Artists for the Earth

We are playing an Earth Day Benifit Show at the Old Town Temple Building (formally The Temple Club) to raise money for a veggie diesel conversion for our bus. Our good friends, Four Finger Five will be kicking off the night at 9pm. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $20 for a VIP room with a private bar. The conversion will allow UV Hippo to tour around the country on vegetable oil from restaurant grease traps, drastically reducing our carbon emissions leading to a greener planet. We are also planning on putting solar panels on top of our bus to supply power for all appliances within the bus with the money raised. We have also just put out an all new, organic line of clothing that is available at all our shows
